Book Club Discussion: Jane Leavy's "The Last Boy: Mickey Mantle and the End of America's Childhood"

We are having our March/April zoom book club tonight to discuss Jane Leavy’s incredible book, "The Last Boy: Mickey Mantle and the End of America's Childhood."

The zoom will take place from 5:30 PM PT/8:30 PM ET - 6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET.

It is open to all paid subscribers. I will be recording and posting it for those of you who can’t make it.

Even if you weren’t able to read all of the book (or any of it!) but you just want to hang out with some baseball nerds tonight discussing Mickey Mantle’s absolutely fascinating life and career, we’d love to have you!

Also, I enjoyed this book so much that I decided to select another one of Jane’s books to read next as well. Our May/June book club selection will be her seminal Sandy Koufax: A Lefty's Legacy. Jane is a mentor of mine but she’s on a tight book deadline right now so she won’t be able to join us tonight. But, I’m hopeful she’ll be able to join us the first Monday in July when we discuss her Koufax book.
