Hi friends-
Join me on zoom today from 12 PM PT to 1 PM PT for an hour of journaling, doodling, coloring, sorting, knitting, cooking, cleaning out junk drawers, woodworking, listening to music, or anything else that does not April Fool’s jokes.
We will talk for a few minutes about what we are working on at the start of the hour, offer each other encouragement, then dive in for 55 minutes or so of uninterrupted creativity. We’ll finish up around 1 and talk for a few minutes about what came up. Some of us keep our cameras on. Some of us don’t. You do not have to speak or be seen if you don’t want to. You will not be called on to participate if it’s not your thing.
If you haven’t joined one of these sessions before, think of it like a group yoga class, and the rest of the attendees like your gym buddies. Or just think of it like an accountability hour. Have you been putting off a phone call to sort out a bill that’s been weighing on you? Do you need to start your taxes but you feel too overwhelmed? Just give yourself an hour to get started and see where you land when we’re done. You may be amazed by how far you get. Or, you may be amazed that you were able to get started at all (which is also half the battle with everything).
It doesn’t have to be serious. Today I will be finishing my Friday newsletter which I started yesterday and then had to stop because I ate a #4 from Taco Bell and got sick (RIP).
Now that it’s April we will be switching the Lab back to Saturdays at noon, as our Sunday Night Baseball live threads will return to—you guessed it—Sundays. So if you can’t join today but would like to join in the future, mark down Saturdays at noon for the foreseeable future!
