Welcome to everyone who joined the Long Game community over the past week!

We will be meeting over zoom today from 12 PM PT to 1 PM PT to talk about about the stretch run to the MLB playoffs.

Topics will include:

• Ohtani becoming the first player to go 43/43

• Analyzing the starting pitching of every playoff team (and how bad things are now with so many pitcher injuries)

• The White Sox futility

• The A’s final month in Oakland

• What the Pirates should do with Paul Skenes’ workload down the stretch

• Aaron Judge chasing history

• The Royals incredible bounce back season

• The Astros returning from the dead

• Where the hell all the Cardinal fans went

• Orlando Arcia tormenting the Phillies

• And more!

If you haven’t yet joined the Lab, it’s an informal zoom discussion open to all paid subscribers— we usually have 20 or so friendly people who just love talking ball in the group each week. Some people talk and some people just listen. You don’t have to put your camera on if you don’t want. It’s a nice way to meet like-minded people, have fun, and hear what’s going on across the league from different fan perspective.
