100%. Great piece. Confounding tiptoeing and delaying by the D’s. Totally don’t understand it.

I can see a world in which it’s a show if respect to let a player go out in the world and establish his worth so when you do pay him, he doesn’t spend the contract wondering if he took less than he was worth.

Dude’s number almost certainly went up after Soto signed, so let him find out what the number is, then pay the man!

Dear lord Molly, I could not agree with you MORE!! What is the hold up?? Teoscar should be signed immediately and if they don't hurry up and do it, I am going to cry. Someone with a attitude like his, not to mention his production needs to be in the dugout every day throwing sunflower seeds on everyone! Shohei needs his bestie, STAT!

The sheer joy I'd get if the Guardians would sign Teoscar would be immense. Sure, the Dodgers can take him since the Dolans think spending anything about 1/2 the market rate for a player is for suckers...but this game is broken

I’ll riot if both Hernandez’s are not back!!!

Something's missing in this story and it makes me wonder if the issue is the guaranteed nature of the third year...if the Dodgers feel they aren't in immediate risk of losing Hernandez to another suitor, I can see the Dodgers wanting to make that third year a team option.

At some point, they need to do something about the Outman/Pages situation and that might also be part of the issue. You have to wonder what would be happening if Arte Moreno hadn't canceled the deal that would've landed the Angels Joc Pedersen and Andy Pages a couple years ago.

As a Blue Jays fan, I would love to have Teo back if we could. But I also loved watching him bring his talents on the field and infectious joy off it, especially during the playoffs. He deserves to be re-signed by LA and those photos of him and Ohtani really should make it a no-brainer.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Conforto put up numbers in 2025 similar to what Teoscar put up in 2024. Oracle Park was just an awful place for Conforto to hit. His road numbers in 2024 were actually better than Teoscar's (17 HRs, 53 RBI and an .852 OPS for Conforto vs. 13 HRs, 46 RBI and an .800 OPS for Teoscar). He just struggled big time at Oracle, which isn't unusual for lefties. I don't know if they'll platoon Conforto, but he actually had reverse splits in 2024. Could be a one year thing, but he hit lefties pretty well in 2024.

Totally agree! He is so consistent and a wonderful presence in the clubhouse. I read somewhere in the last week he might not want deferred money. Not sure if that is true or part of the holdup.
